Recipe for our Sweet and Sour Chicken~ Yippee
Sweet and Sour Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
  • 200g of boneless and skinless chicken breast (cut in to bite-sized cubes)
  • 1/2 green capsicum( seeds removed and cut into squares)
  • 1/2 red capsicum (seeds removed and cut into squares)
  • 1/2 cucumber (seeds removed and cut into squares)
  • 1/2 Big Onion (cut into 1/3 pieces)
  • 1 Small Egg White
  • Sweet and Sour Chicken :D
  • 1/2 Bowl of corn flour
  • 5-6 Table Spoon of Oil
Marinating Chicken
  • 1/2 tablespoon of salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon of light sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 Egg white as mentioned above
Sweet and Sour Sauce(Mixed Well)
  • 3 tablespoon of ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon of plum sauce
  • 1/2 table spoon of oyster sauce
  • 3 table spoon of water
Items that are used from fairprice and nestle
  • FairPrice Canola Oil
  • Maggi Premium Oyster Sauce(Nestle)
  • Maggi Tomato Ketchup
  • Light SoySauce
Method
  1. Cut the chicken breast meat into bite-size cubes and marinate with the above mention for 15 minutes.
  2. Mix the sweet and sour sauce in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Coat the ready marinate chicken with flour and set aside.
  4. Heat up the cooking oil in a wok and deep fry the chicken cubes until golden brown.(Shake off the extra batter before frying)
  5. Transfer the chicken out on aplate with paper towels to soak up the excess oil.
  6. Transfer the cooking oil out and leave only 2 tablespoons oil in the wok.
  7. Add in the Onion and fry for a while then follow by the capsicums & cucumber.Then continue with adding the sweet and sour sauce into the wok and bring it to boil. Toss in the chicken, add the chopped scallions, do a few quick stirs, dish out and serve immediately with steamed white rice.
  8. Then add in the tomato sauce and stir well.
  9. Lastly toss in the fried chicken piece and do a few quick stirs, dish out and serve.
